A New Blog will be Born

A New Blog will be Born

I guess on New Years Eve this is a good way to announce to you that I will be starting a new blog - different from those I have had in the past.

Also my old blogs need some heavy duty updating.  So much has happened to my career during 2012, and other things have been changed - so please keep your eye out for a new blog, with a new twist.

To all my friends have a wonderful New Year, be safe, share with one another the gifts of happiness, and come back soon.

Your friend, Nancy (Duci) Denofio

Radio Show

I know I opened up the issue of a new radio show several months ago, but due to the broadcasting network I had to wait until the Presidential Election was over to sit down and talk about the day of the week and time slot.  This is the show for Author's and their chance to promote their book.  I will be working from a studio, but all you have to do is call in, like blogtalkradio.

Angie's Diary @angiesdiary.com will once again share her VIP Writer of the Month with me - and I thank you Angie.  I understand you have been waiting too.  Let's hope this happens sooner instead of later.  I wanted to use a studio for the broadcast, and it will be available on the internet like blogtalkradio, but I wanted to give my guests the opportunity, not to compete with so many listings.  I loved blog talk radio, and would return to the platform again, but this will be something new - and yes, commercials are part of the hour long show. <S>

Now I will be meeting with the station to set the time/day each week - and should be returning with those answers this month.  I am working hard to have a great show, andee have spoke with many of you in the past.  So keep informed, it will happen.  <S>

Regarding "Beyond ?" it will be a go but Alexandria and I are in the wings waiting for the lights to turn on. LOL - We do have a fan page on facebook, Beyond ? which I am sorry has been visited a few times, but it will be a main spot for guests as soon as we have confirmation.  We have not forgotten you.

My third question was about a third radio show, since the station I am working with has given me the opportunity to have another, and if anyone would be interested in a talk radio show concerning "What's on your mind with regards to publishing, or any avenue where the creative voice is heard"  or would a second show be one where I ask you to hold the line, and you have three minutes to read from your work?  -  I noticed this is a frequent way of giving the writer exposure.  Let me hear from you.

Sincerely, Nancy

Creative People

CREATIVE PEOPLE

Creative people, are we all the same?  This is a sample of a test and by answering a
few questions, I believe it explains the personality of anyone who is an Author or steps
away from the computer to meet the outside world with a smile.

SCORES
Many people have two or three strong striving styles, and they can all be important in leading you to the person you are meant to be. If you have a few "highest" scores, read each matching description, and see what rings most true.

Striving to help: 16
Striving to be recognized: 15
Striving to be creative: 13
Striving to be spontaneous: 19
Striving to be knowledgeable: 15
Striving to be secure: 16
Striving to be in control: 16

STRIVING TO HELP
You scored: 16

You are a nurturer: You are caring and supportive in your personal relationships as well as in your job. Unselfish and altruistic by nature, you often anticipate the needs of those around you before they are aware of them. If there is one thing that brings you satisfaction, it's tending to others.

What to watch out for: When you're doing things for people only to feel valued, you can become resentful. And if you sense that your help is not appreciated, you may end up playing the martyr. So before giving your time to everyone else, make sure to take care of yourself (physically, emotionally, and spiritually). And practice waiting until someone asks for help: While you may be able to perceive what a person needs, that doesn't mean she wants you to attend to it.

STRIVING TO BE RECOGNIZED
You scored: 15

You are an achiever: Ambitious, competitive, and hardworking: That's you. With a clear image of who you are, you work tirelessly to make sure your accomplishments are recognized. Your drive for success extends to your family, and you invest a lot of energy in helping them live up to your expectations. Thanks to your knack for diplomacy and abundant charisma, you often inspire others.

What to watch out for: You are prone to becoming a workaholic, slaving away toward success while neglecting your personal life. Because you're driven to gain approval, you can find yourself performing for others like an actor; if you become overly concerned with your image, you end up feeling superficial. To keep your ambition under control, get involved in group activities that require cooperation. Also practice listening to those around you and think about sharing the spotlight from time to time.

Looking ahead:  Any career that allows you to scale the ranks and gain recognition, status, even material rewards, lights you up. Actress, entrepreneur, salesperson, politician—you get the picture. And consider balancing your professional challenges with personal ones: Run a 10K, train for a triathlon, compete in a tennis tournament, bike from one end of your state to the other; or join a debate team, play in a poker circle, enter your purebred spaniel in a dog show. Whenever you can win at something, you're happy.

STRIVING TO BE CREATIVE
You scored:
13
You are an artist: You came out of the womb with a paintbrush in your hand. Or maybe it was a flute or a castanet or a fountain pen to go with your poet's imagination. The point is, you're an original, and you know it. Even if you don't have a singular gift, you're drawn to the arts—anything creative, for that matter—and you have a unique way of looking at the world. Your need for depth and authenticity in relationships can lead to both great joy and profound sorrow, depending on whether others reciprocate. You don't care so much about adapting to group or societal expectations; your independence and sharp intuition propel you on your own path.

What to watch out for: When fear of conformity overrides your creativity, you can assume the role of "outsider" or "orphan" and end up feeling alienated. You may even go so far as refusing to vote or pay taxes. This lone-wolf stance might be a defense against feeling vulnerable. Try to be aware that blaming others for your banishment, or pushing away those who want to get close, only makes things worse. Also, dramatizing your emotions can interfere with your creativity.

Looking ahead: As long as you genuinely express yourself, you feel like the person you were meant to be. How you do it is irrelevant. A chef or architect can be as much of an artist as a painter or sculptor. Many advertising and public relations executives are also highly imaginative. Beyond work, there are opportunities everywhere you look to coax out your inner artist: Design your own jewelry line, create an innovative blog, dream up a comic strip. Relationships are another avenue for self-expression.

STRIVING TO BE SPONTANEOUS
You scored: 19

You are an adventurer: Action-oriented, curious, outgoing, and often technically gifted, you live for new experiences. You are drawn to risk-taking and aren't afraid to fail. Generally restless, you tend to job-hop or choose a field that offers constant novelty. If you had to name your favorite place, it might be the center of attention—you're a born entertainer, and can easily adapt to any audience. While you collect many acquaintances, you're less likely to develop deep, committed relationships.

Looking ahead: Life will have meaning for you as long as you feel stimulated. That might mean chasing twisters, exploring the polar ice caps, getting a degree in dance therapy, or becoming an astronaut. It might also mean reading new books, attending workshops, or letting yourself get swept up in an intoxicating romance. As a risk-lover with a lot of energy, you're a natural entrepreneur. You'll be happiest if you change jobs every so often and travel extensively. Movement is what keeps you going.

STRIVING TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE
You scored: 15

You are an intellectual: As a leader, you're often ahead of your time. As an employee, you try to surpass the competence level of peers, even managers. Incisive and curious, you're driven to deeply understand how things work. But that's things, not people. Oh, your family and friends are important; it's just that you don't need to spend hours engaging with them. Social validation isn't your goal—you're secure enough in your cerebral pursuits.

What to watch out for: When you can't find a way to be the expert, you may withdraw or simply withhold information, which can make you seem smug or arrogant. If you feel yourself retreating into your own world, seek a friend's help to pull you back. Also balance your cerebral tendencies through physical activities like jogging, hiking, or dance.

STRIVING TO BE SECURE
You scored: 16

You are a stabilizer: You are the rock in a storm, the one others lean on. Loyal and committed in your relationships, you maintain a support system of like-minded people whom you look out for. (So what if you do it behind the scenes and don't get credit?) You're careful with money, cherish the familiar, and defend the traditions you care about.

STRIVING TO BE IN CONTROL
You scored: 16

You are a leader: You approach everything as though you were born to be in charge. Confident, assertive, and decisive, you know what you want and you go after it. You also look out for family, friends, and community—you feel you know what's best for them—and have no fear of confronting anyone who challenges your ideas. Taking the driver's seat, you also generously donate time and energy to people and neighborhood projects.

Well, I can't help but picture so many of you receiving the same answers.  It certainly has some great challenges to live up too but lifts up the spirit knowing if you are creative, you will never be at a loss for something to do. <S>

Always, your friend - Nancy

THREE RADIO SHOWS - Your Interest?

Hi -

I wanted to make sure you knew about a new radio show which should be out within a couple of weeks, 2 -3 weeks - and will be live once a week - I think I will name it "Words" with a logline, - Everyone is listening.  This show will be for those I schedule who have published work.  I have many on the list from the previous show who I plan to begin with, who never had the opportunity - then I will continue with the new names.  So without a doubt, do send me either a message, email, or post a comment here.  I will write everything down.

The second show on the same station, is possible if I can get enough of you who want to read your prose or poetry on live, I want all the poets I know, who love reading their work, please send me a message and I will begin a list for this show.  I am a lover too of poetry, and perhaps this will open up another channel for poets.

The Show Beyond Question with Alexandria Altman is still in the works, we are working on this from the background, it will take longer then expected due to her involvement with her wonderful book "Cinderella Cronicles,"and interviews etc.  But both myself and Alexandria are excited and getting things in line, finishing up what we both feel need finishing before diving into this wonderful show.  So patients as they say is a blessing, when we are all so busy and live such busy lives.

Sincerely, Nancy -

Find me at Nancy Denofio on facebook or twitter,  but a message on facebook in private messaging, or an email with High Priority marked - to words444@nycap.rr.come  will help both of us.  Be sure to title the email Radio-Author or Radio-Poet, and Show-Beyond Question.

I think most of the writers will have a wonderful place to talk about themselves. <S>

YOUR TURN - JOIN ADD A SENTENCE

Hi Friends - here I am writing again.  Since no one added to the first entry I thought I would go shorter, by the sentence, who knows someone might just like the story. LOL.  All in fun.  Remember once I start you have to add the next SENTENCE at this time, instead of some long piece.  Let's see how many will take part. When you see the number at the end of the sentence just add you twist.  Let's have some fun.  LOL  Sincerely, Nancy
Part one -

His face appeared to be human as I opened my eyes knowing someone was staring at me through my bedroom window, but the figure never moved, before I had a chance to scream it disappeared. (2)

Writers - Add On Story

WRITERS ADD ON STORY

This is a wonderful way to excercise your mind with only a few short lines, and watch how the story flips and flops in different directions.  This is the same thing I have done with my grandchildren around the table, and the ages make a difference - but they are now coming over with a mock book, the cover page and all.

So let's begin.

Please add on with your twists and turns. This isn't anything but practice and I understand how people worry about their grammer, it doesn't count here.  It's the story line, how several people can twist our minds to write something on the spur of the moment.  Join in, just have fun.  Leave a name after your post if you want, this is far from formal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STORY ONE - No title.

For some reason she knew she was being watched as she crossed Broad Street, rushing ahead of the oncoming traffic.  She knew she would make it with her long thin legs;  she always left her friends in the dust, she could hear them calling out, "Slow down."  For some reason she never understood why her waist length hair the color of coal caught a man's eye, never thinking it was her legs as her friends teased her.  She finally reached the curb and bumped into a stranger, a man, as she took her last step away from a four-lane highway.  She complained over, and over about the timing of the cross light but no one listened.  Turning right, close to her hang out, a local pub called "Joe's,"  she noticed a young man opening the door; remembering they worked together in the Senator's Office, he was an intern but no more.  She was heading there for a rum and coke after a long interview and scanned the room for Steven, he was lingering at the far end of the bar, he was alone. The Writer - Author - Director - Producer - Performer

THE WRITER - AUTHOR - DIRECTOR - PRODUCER - PERFORMER

1.  You have to admit I am directing this blog to many of you in computer space - and hoping you will be reading it, and writing down some information.  And, be sure to join this blog for further information as the weeks pass.

Why I am writing this to announce a couple of new radio shows, they will reach 193 countries, be on the internet, and have podcasts from which you, as a follower can hear at a later date.

I want to speak about my own radio show for you - your interview, your life, what you maybe seeing in your future, and for others to get to know you.  This show will take place from a studio, and will be for those listed above.  I have started a list of guests from the previous show which I enjoyed for two years.  Now it was time to move on to this show, and to another show which I will speak about later.

Some of the considerations for being a guest on the show is that you reply asp - give me an idea of what you want to talk about, and if it is a book, and it is an e-book, let me know.  Since the last show I have made it a point to view the book before interviewing the author.  All of this information will be sent to me via my email address with a HIGH PRIORITY listing, which you can find as a choice at the top of the page.  I receive many emails and do not want to miss those regarding the show.

Once you are placed on a line up for the show I expect you to keep it, since this show will be a once a week show, and will be extremely important that you keep your spot.  If anything out of the ordinary occurs and you can't make it, I will be filling in with something to do with all the topics above, or one of many.

NOTE:  Always Email me when you are referring to any radio show, I will have access to the emails where ever it is I maybe - out of town.

Most of you are familiar with me, and my laid back nature.  I like a show to be the same, interesting, rememberable, and one where you have the opportunity to give yourself a lift, promote yourself.  If you would like to review any of the past interviews from the other radio show some of them are listed on angiesdiary.com  on the web.  She has always been a part of the show, including her VIP Writer of the Month.  She will be part of this show too.  I am always proud to include Angie and all she does for you, on my pages.

The show will be listed as 13 and up for age groups.  Many writers have subjects not suitable for a child.  If at anytime I have a writer who has something I would like to learn more about, and it is written for children, I will announce this before the show airs.

I know for a fact we will be having a blast, once a week, entertaining our audience.  The show is expected to begin in October.  There is a possibility I will be doing two different shows with this station - more to come, the closer we get to October.

2.  The second show which we were hoping to begin in September has been set back, and will begin asp.  We are taking names of those who fit the genre and theme, expertise and so forth.

The name of this show is Beyond Question - It's in the Bloodlines.  There is a possiblility the title of the show will change before airing.  And if so, the pages on facebook will be updated.  Because of the timeline for this show - and needing a list for when it does begin both Alexandria Altman and myself are asking for your name, expertise, what you would focus your interview on, and a little information about yourself.  This can be done at anytime, but remember to keep this information to a minimum until we reach you, and ask for more.  You can email this to us, and either of us will do since we both are working on a time line for the show, and various topics.

Remember people who are afraid of talking about what they have seen, or experienced something unusual write about these things, usually fiction.  Perhaps you are not a writer but you have something that occured that will surprise even your best friend.  This world is filled with questions that are not answered, but some of us have our own thoughts about many of those topics, you maybe an expert in the field of UFO's, Weather Changes, Huricanes, Earths Beginnings, Angels, Ghosts both good and bad, those who have past in your lifetime you were close too and have returned, for reasons - and are they protecting you?  You may want to talk about why vaccines are not lasting a lifetime, or why we can't protect our own people once a drug is available and too expensive for our loved one.  These things are beyond question, like drowning and surviving, or being in a car accident, and surviving.  Gaining strength you never knew you had, because you were at the right spot at the right time to make a difference,  This, as you can tell, can go on, and on.

As soon as we know more about the date we will be posting it.  Anyone with something appropriate can contact me or Alexandria.

3.  Be sure to keep the emails by subject.  For my upcoming show please use the subject line POSSIBLE GUEST.  I will begin to fill the spots for this show within two weeks.  Please, as mentioned, list it as High Priority so I will not miss it.

4.  For the show with myself and Alexandria please forward any information to either me or Alexandria via email - and in the Subject line use NANCY ALEX SHOW and list it as high priority so it will not be missed.

Thanks for reading my blog - and learning a little more about the "near" future of upcoming shows.  I look forward to your requests, and both Alex and I look forward to your emails too.

The first show - I will be your host, and we will be advertising during the show.
The second show - will be Alex and I as your hosts, also with advertising during the show.

Advertising cuts the time to fifty minutes.  Depending on the topic, will depend on how long a guest will have for each show.  All of this will be told to you in private, and once we begin our lineup.

Have a wonderful week - and month as we enter into the fall of the year.

A special thank you to Alexandria - since I used her name on my blog.

Sincerely, Nancy
